Join us for the annual Poinsettia Ball on Saturday, December 13, at the Onawa Community Center—a cherished Burgess Foundation tradition that celebrates the magic of giving and brings our community together to make a lasting difference.Proceeds from the 2025 Ball will support the purchase of new vital sign and cardiac monitoring equipment. This large project was broken into two funding phases. Phase I provided the funds for our Emergency Department, Infusion Services, and Perioperative Services portion of the project, which established the infrastructure for expanded cardiac monitoring across the organization. We are now ready to move to Phase II, which finalizes installation and includes monitoring in our Inpatient Unit. These upgrades will:
Provide continuous, real-time cardiac monitoring and vital signs data that follows patients as they move between departments.
Reduce patient transfers with advanced monitoring on the med-surg floor, as fewer patients need to be transferred to higher acuity units, minimizing stress and exposure to additional risks.
Ensure critical information is always available to clinicians, enhancing safety and reducing risk by enabling quicker responses to emergent situations.
Streamline workflow by integrating with our electronic health records (EHR), reducing manual data entry and documentation time for nurses and providers.
