About this Event

Our theme is Poignance, and the title of the gallery captures the ideal of Spring in that we might rebirth and have "Poignance Past Winter".

Winters of our lives, that is, when times are darkest, we need to acknowledge and accept those Shadows in safe, communal spaces, so that we can move on past those fears and cold nights, together. That is what this exhibition is all about!

Pantheon Arts Community Storytelling facilitates this simple exhibition curated with the help of two dozen local artists who have submitted their art in our open call or organized the event itself with us! Expensify Sponsors costs and space for this event and we are so grateful.

We will provide light snacks and refreshments as well as a handful of activities in addition to the Agenda listed in this Eventbrite.

While we are not catering food, we do recommend Midtown Beer Garden across the street from the venue for Lunch and even Dinner, with over 27 immigrant and minority run food carts that Expensify also hosts throughout the year. Midtown Beer Garden closes at 8pm, as well - discover a new favorite within!

Bring a friend, join the art scavenger hunt, meet an artist or two, and connect with the vibes of Spring in bloom. Come look at local art for free, and buy some if you're feeling generous, reflect and discuss about rebirth, and share a memory with this event that is all about safe expression of harder truths.

Interested in Volunteering? Email [email protected] that you'd like to help, we would love to help you find a way to spread your light!
