The Cabarats play in Plymouth as part of their UK tour alongside very special guest Shniece, making this show a double headliner event!
⭐ THE CABARATS ⭐
No genre is safe from this band! Dub-infused rhythms and knees-up ska collide courageously with eastern melodies, world instruments and infectious vocal hooks to form an alluring and energetic sound.
The Cabarats are constantly sourcing inspiration from all over the world, but have a particular passion for Reggae and Ska, as well as traditional music from Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The sound is embellished with electronic samples and a uniquely psychedelic texture which segues dynamically from one style to another, often succumbing to climactic moments of heavy rock.
The ever-growing list of instruments played by these five individuals includes, accordion, outar (a custom built fretless oud-guitar hybrid), keyboards, brass, guitars, drums, pedals, synths, sirens, samplers and more!
What could have become a very niche sound has actually turned out to be extremely accessible and is just as popular with festival goers as it is with young children and their grandparents!
Since releasing their debut album in 2017, the band have had a very exciting journey with highlights including appearing on one of the main stages at Boomtown Fair &, performing on the BBC Introducing stage at Looe Saves the Day. Their list of festival appearances are endless but include Camp Bestival, Tropical Pressure, and Goulash Disko in Croatia.

⭐ SHNIECE ⭐
A singer/songwriter and an accomplished performer, Shniece started out singing in an 8 piece band called the Drizabone Soul Family touring for almost 10 Years, supporting the likes of Chaka Kahn, Chic & Nile Rodgers, Sister Sledge, Jocelyn Brown, Candi Staton, Aswad and Eliza Doolittle.
As a session vocalist & live performer, singing both lead and backing vocals, Shniece has worked with the likes of Prince Fatty, Monkey Jhayam (Brazil), Fatlip (Pharcyde) Mungos HiFi, Shirley Jones (The Jones Girls), Omar, Earl 16, The Last Poets, David Morales, and has toured Brazil with Prince Fatty and Monkey Jhayam.
Shniece also sings with a Big Jazz Band, Jazz Colossus and 25 piece Orchestra, Symphonica ft Mr Switch (IBIZA ORCHESTRA) and has been involved in many function bands with a Repertoire of over 500 songs.
Shniece released her first debut EP "Disco Deception" with Prince Fatty in June of 2020, then released singles 'Funkin’ For Jamaica (NY)' and 'Black Rabbit'. They received plays on BBC Radio, including, Craig Charles, Huey Morgan, Don Letts and David Rodigan shows. Black Rabbit has been the most successful to date with almost 1M listens on spotfiy, it features on Don Letts Album 'Version Excursion',radio plays on Los Angeles Radio station KCRW, and was used in Los Angeles Dance film, Le'Invilade by Luminario Ballet.
Shniece is a seasoned perfomer often found at major festivals and legendary venues, such as Jazz Cafe & o2 indigo, highlights of 2022 include BOOMTOWN.
