Poetry Workshop w/ Lolu Oyedele

🗣️Join us Sunday June 30th for an intimate and engaging poetry workshop w/ the talented Lolu Oyedele! 4-6PM

“In this 2 hour workshop, you will be guided through a series of poetry writing exercises designed to focus on expression rather than excellence, and exploration over production. I want to present a decolonial form of workshopping, where we find community in the act of gathering around words and the sharing of them with each other. I want to venture away from the hyper-academic notions often found in educational and literary spaces, and in the process give you room to delve into your own natural voice and instinctive form of expression. This is also a workshop where you will be encouraged to share your work with others, and practice letting go of the judgment we often have to our writing. We share to connect, and that in and of itself is enough. Come feel your way through the forest of language, and wade into the depths of your own artistry. Come have some fun, and connect with fellow writers and poets along the way.” - Lolu
