This event is 18+ as both collections deal with various kinds of trauma.
Fils-Aimé and Stumpo plumb the depths of personal and shared histories, plus dreams and nightmares real and metaphorical, in their debut poetry collections. Friends and colleagues-in-poetry, they're touring New England and beyond. Mckendy and JeFF met over fifteen years ago at Slam Free or Die in Manchester.
About the Author:
Mckendy Fils-Aimé is the author of sipèstisyon, out from YesYes Books, which managed to completely sell out of advance copies at the Associated Writing Programs conference earlier this year and has been making waves in poetry circles. Mckendy’s work has appeared in places including Best New Poets, The Academy of American Poets Poem-a-Day series, Adroit Journal, and Muzzle.
About the Author:
JeFF Stumpo's these are the waterfalls in my head won the 2026 Granite State Poetry Prize and is out from Yas Press at the University of New Hampshire. Poems from it first appeared in places including Prairie Schooner, The Journal, Salt Hill Journal, and Voicemail Poems.
