About this Event
POETRY SUMMER SCHOOL
The Writers’ Workshop, Orchard Square Sheffield
Get schooled in reading and writing poems this summer! This short course of six sessions with me, Suzannah Evans, will cover the essentials of poetry, from why we write it to how it works. Each session will include writing time and time for feedback. These sessions are suitable for beginner and intermediate poets. I recommend you come with an open mind and a willingness to play with words!
Thursday 18th July 4pm-6pm Who is Speaking?
In this workshop we will consider the idea of voice in poetry; the narrative, the lyric and the speaker. Who is your speaker, and who are they speaking to? Be prepared to adopt many voices, human and otherwise!

- Sessions are bookable individually, or you can book all six in a lower-cost bundle before the first class.
