Meet the poets: P.R. Dyjak is a poet and retired Associate Professor of English, UW–Stevens Point. She is a lyrical poet trying to be brave enough to push her language and silence to do more. Her chapbook Symphony for the Cutters (2013) is available through Kattywompus Press, Boston, as is the anthology The Going-Away Country: a kattywompus poetry anthology, January 2026, Boston, which includes three of Dyjak's poems.
C. Kubasta: writes poetry, fiction, and hybrid forms. Her most recent book is the collection of poetry Under the Tented Skin (Unsolicited Press, 2025). She is the executive director of Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts in Mineral Point. Find her at ckubasta.com and follow her on instagram at @CKubastathePoet.
Sarah Sadie: Former Poet Laureate of Madison (with Wendy Vardaman, 2012-2015) and author of five collections of poetry, Sadie grows tomatoes in buckets, makes homemade ice cream, and writes poems while working towards a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. She lives in Portage, perched between two rivers and next door to the Baraboo Ridge.
Marnie Bullock Dresser lives in Spring Green with her husband and three cats. She has a deep, abiding, pretty inexplicable devotion to washi tape. Her poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction have appeared in magazines like Prairie Schooner, Midwestern Gothic, and Front Range Review and her plays have been performed in the historic Hillside Theater at Taliesin and the always awesome Shitty Barn.
