About this Event

Join multi-award-winning poet Daljit Nagra as he reads alongside students from the poetry MA/MFA workshop here at Manchester Met University.

Dr Kim Moore and Professor Andrew McMillan will introduce their students alongside Daljit, who will be sharing a sneak preview from his forthcoming fifth collection, Yiewsley. Daljit Nagra is Professor at Brunel University London, Vice President of the Royal Society of Literature, Advisor to Poetry By Heart and presenter of Radio 4 Extra’s weekly Poetry Extra. He has won the Forward Prize for Best Individual Poem and Best First Collection, the South Bank Show Decibel Award and the Cholmondeley Award. His fifth and latest collection is Yiewsley (Faber & Faber, 2026).
