Poetry Open Mic at Aurora House

Come join us for a night of spoken word at Aurora House. This evening has a magical, free flow that is perfect for seasoned poets, first timers, or those just looking to be inspired by the words of others.

Open Mic starts at 8p and is MC'd by local poet Meg Swinford (@jaguarhighpriestess).

You are welcome to come early to get in some quiet writing over tea or a drink.

Writing Workshop (Separate Cost)

We will have a separate writing workshop from 6:30 - 8p for $20. We have limited tickets on eventrbite for this, but you may pay onsite or sign up on our website. This class gains you admission to the open mic.

Two Wolves: Writing from Both Sides of You - Class and Open-Mic

Join author Amy Lohr for an immersive writing class that delves into the duality within us all. Inspired by the balance of light and dark during the Autumn Equinox, this workshop invites you to explore both the pure and shadowy aspects of your personal stories, and how to let your inner-artist weave them together. Ticket purchase includes access to the open-mic poetry event directly after the class.

This is a safe, inclusive space for all. Behavior such as harrassment, sexual advances, hate speech, or discrimination, will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.
