Poetry on the Plaza: Renewal

This spring, the Ransom Center's Poetry on the Plaza series returns as we explore themes of Love and Renewal. Hosted by award-winning poet and English Department faculty member Carrie Fountain, each program includes readings and a discussion on the power of poetry as a point of reflection, creativity, and change.

A former chancellor of the Academy of American Poets, Naomi Shihab Nye has written over 30 books of poetry and prose, including Grace Notes (2024) and Everything Comes Next (2020). Liz Scalon had authored over 20 children's books, including All the World (2009), which won a Caldecott Honor and numerous other accolages.
