Poetry On Phillips: An Open Mic Experience
About this Event
The National Poetry Month Open Mic served as a prelude to what is now Poetry On Phillips, an open mic hosted by performing artist Tarika Holland in partnership with the Lucy C. Laney Museum of Black History in Augusta, GA.
Poetry on Phillips is more than an open mic. It is an experience, bringing together like minded individuals and offering a safe space for creative expression. Whether you are a poet, spoken word artist, musician, comedian, etc, we welcome you to share your story on the mic. If you are a lover of the arts, a seat is waiting for you in the audience.
Poetry on Phillips strives to keep poetry alive and well, educating others about the history and many forms of it. This experience offers a place for community and fellowship, serving as an healthy outlet and a moment away our every day lives.
For more details, be sure to read the Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any additional questions or concerns, email Tarika here: [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you there!
