Poetry Night : A Bards Against Hunger Event

We’re excited to announce our first Poetry Night at Urban Vegan Roots! This will be a Bards Against Hunger event. So while the event is totally free, we encourage all attendees to bring non-perishable food and/or unused hygiene products that will donated to the Astoria Food Pantry.

We will have an open mic format and invite poets from all walks of life and styles to joint us as we use the power of words to strengthen our community. You can sign up by purchasing a free ticket on Eventbrite. There may be some slots available the day-of depending on time.

Also, Urban Vegan Roots has been incredibly generous in allowing us to use this space to hold this event. Be sure to try some of their delicious food and have some drinks while enjoying a night of inspiring words.
