Poetry in the Park! It’s National Poetry Month and I wanted to try something different. With the weather warming up, and the flowers blooming- I would love to host an Open (no mic) Poetry event at Allsopp. This isn’t hosted by anything other than myself - so BYOC ( bring your own chair) or blanket to sit on. We will join in a circle on the grass (weather permitting) and take turns sharing our words. Feel free to share or just come to listen.
All types of writings are welcomed so long as they’re not racist, transphobic, sexist, ableist, islamphobic, homophobic, antisemitism, etc.
If we have a large turnout - let’s keep our sharing at a max of 5 minutes that way everyone has a chance to be heard?
This is a queer/trans lead event- but we welcome all allies??
