Poetry at the Pub meets on the third and fifth Monday of the month at the Grand Hotel, Newcastle and on Zoom (Zoom details below). This week we are pleased launch Out of the Blocks by Ellen Shelley.
Ellen learned the art of resilience and the importance of finding her own voice in the world from an early age, when she discovered the power of words to heal and transform.
Ellen uses language to align the uncertainties of daily life and her lyrical words find strength from wherever she calls home at the time.
Ellen Shelley recently published her debut book of poetry Out of the Blocks in October 2023 with Puncher and Wattmann.
