Presented by David P. Kozinski, Local Poet
“Poems of Place”
Whether it’s a rural junkyard, a city street, or a riverbank, the setting of a poem can focus the emotional scope and expand the meaning of a poem. David P. Kozinski will read and discuss poems by James Dickey, Yolanda Wisher and others in which the setting becomes a character in a mini-drama, along with some poems of his own in which place plays a key role.
Bring a poem or two to share in the ‘open mic’ that will follow the reading.
Outdoor program to be held on the Veranda area of the Museum. In the event of rain, we will use the covered patio area of the Museum.
Face masks required, along with social distancing, temperature checks and a brief Covid form.
Participants are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket
$5 NCC residents / $10 non-residents
Registration required at https://apm.activecommunities.com/nccde/Activity_Search/15964
