Aye, the nights are fair drawin' in... and to bring warmth and delight to your autumn evenings, we have two brilliant headliners for you in October.
Marka Rifat's written and visual work appears in more than 70 websites and anthologies worldwide. She is a Toulmin prize winner (the first sci-fi story selected in its 17 years) and has several other awards.
Andy Jackson is the author of six poetry collections: his latest is Disco Biscuits (Blue Diode, 2026). He has edited several poetry anthologies, is involved in several web-based poetry activities, including Project Abeona and Otwituaries and also coordinates the Lonely Funeral project (with Michael Hannah) in Dundee.
We'll have our usual open mic in the middle, so if you'd like a spot, message us. And as ever, Books and Beans will have a rare selection of fine pieces and hot or cold drinks, so even if you don't want to perform, come along and enjoy!
Accessiblity information: the venue is reached by a staircase and unfortunately there is no lift. Please message us if you will need assistance.
