This month we are delighted to host the Aberdeen launch of two new collections from the fabulous Drunk Muse Press and two of their fabulous poets. Alistair Lawrie grew up by the sea in Peterhead. His poetry and short stories have been published in a variety of magazines; his first poetry collection Caal Cries was published in 2023 and he now has a new collection Opent Petals, both from Drunk Muse. He leads weekly sessions for Mearns Writers and lives in Stonehaven, beside the sea of course.
Olive M. Ritch is an Aberdeen-based poet from Orkney. She is a recipient of the Scottish Book Trust Next Chapter Award and the Calder Prize for Poetry from the University of Aberdeen. Her poems have been published in many magazines, and broadcast on BBC Radio 4, and this is her debut poetry collection.
Plus, coffee and cakes! And Open Mic! - message the page if you'd like a reading spot (you have to make your own arrangements for the cakes...)
