Welcome to Poetry & Pint featuring Nat Gove and Jessica Kinnison! Join us for a cozy evening of words and brews at Oak St Brewery. Get ready to be mesmerized by the talents of Nat Gove and Jessica Kinnison! This in-person event promises to be a night to remember.
nat gove is a poet, writer, and clarinet student who received an MFA from Queens University Charlotte in three genres. Their work has been published in Postscript Magazine, Bayou Review, Third Iris Zine, Noyo Review, Metrosphere Magazine, and a couple of anthologies. She spends her nights at a jazz hall and days at home with her boutonniere and little red bean pup.
Jessica Kinnison's work has appeared in Columbia Journal, Phoebe, Entropy, Juked, and The Southern Humanities Review, among other publications. She holds an MFA from Chatham University in Pittsburgh where she taught creative writing in the Allegheny County J*il as part of the Words Without Walls program. A 2018 Kenyon Review Peter Taylor Fellow, she has twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She was listed among “Eight New Orleans Poets to Watch” in POETS & WRITERS in April 2020. A Mississippi native, she is co-founder of the New Orleans Writers Workshop and continues to teach writing in harm reduction-focused spaces. She’s currently working on a full-length poetry manuscript entitled “Ways to Die in Mississippi.”
