Stormm Communications presents Poetry & Motion, a one-of-a-kind daytime experience bringing together spoken word, music, line dancing, local entrepreneurship, food, culture, and community—all under one roof.
Join us Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 12 PM–5 PM at Kanvas Event Venue, 3870 Lancaster Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19104 for an afternoon designed around People • Purpose • Possibility.
🎤 OPEN MIC & SPOKEN WORD | 12 PM–2:30 PM
We’ll kick off the afternoon with an Open Mic & Spoken Word experience hosted by Philly’s own Electric Lady, Toni LaVell of the Eclectric Nights Platform (@houseof.lavell).
Whether you're a poet, spoken-word artist, storyteller, creative—or simply someone who loves experiencing live expression—come enjoy an atmosphere where voices, stories, and creativity can take center stage.

Then we're turning up the energy!
Event curator Stormm takes the floor for an afternoon of line dancing, music, movement, laughter, and GOOD VIBES. Whether you already know the dances or just want to jump in and have fun, you're welcome on the floor.
🎭 AND YES—IT'S A COSTUME DAY PARTY!
Come dressed to express!
Creative. Sexy. Funny. Mysterious. Glamorous. Spiritual. Old school. Completely original. Your costume is another opportunity to bring your personality into the experience.

Local artisan vendors will be available throughout the entire event, creating a unique pop-up shopping experience while you enjoy the festivities.
Featured vendors include Nothing But Love Soul Food for delicious soul food, Juic-EH Drinks by King for specialty beverages, Eclectrici-Teas for herbal teas, and Divine Wick'd Wax & Lather for handcrafted self-care and natural skincare products—plus additional local vendors to be announced.
