What is Poetic Parley?

A curated poetic performance by Assia Lau'ren, where words come alive and conversation flows in a cozy intimate space. This show aims to accommodate a small audience of no more than 30 people. Poetry is presented as questions to prompt group discussions on the topics of love, boundaries, lessons, self, and relationships of every kind. In this space everyone is a collaborator, an artist, a teacher, and a student.

Event Cover Explained:

Joy Oladokun is a new favorite artist of mine. Her album PROOF OF LIFE has been on repeat for a few weeks now. Each song is a story that rings true to the human experience. The quirky confusion of love and friendship and life. Her song WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE is so dualistic to me, because there's a whimsical feeling about death, and I think that we could all use a dose of reality that feels light and airy.
