Poetic Justice w/ Selfie Care Therapy

In this workshop, Professional Poet, Amani Lawson will teach participants to write about their emotions and life experiences through poetry.

Creative writing such as poetry can be a great outlet for expressing yourself using your imagination and imagery. This workshop will allow you the space and time to sit with yourself, reflect, and draw your imagination out onto paper!

Creative writing encourages people to choose their words, metaphors, and images in a way that really captures what they’re trying to convey. This creative decision-making can lead to increased self-awareness and self-esteem as well as improved mental health.

Come prepared to have a great start to your morning! Bring your favorite journal and pen and be ready to explore!
