Poetic Hafla Variety Show is an event series that focuses on presenting middleeastern& mediterranian artists based in Berlin.
The main aspect of the PHVS is creating a place to experiment and to share ideas. For this many artistic forms of expression are combined: readings, music, stand-up comedy, and performances.
POETICHAFLA VARIETY SHOW Motto
"We are like the Mediterranian - a sea!", referring to the diversity of backgrounds,
expressions, aesthetics and contributions. The event series shows the
liveliness of Middle Eastern culture and the importance of Berlin as a
cultural hub and home of the many. The Poetic Hafla variety show provides a
brave space that is all about listening, embracing, sharing,
appreciating each other and coming together.
Poetic Hafla Variety Show was founded in 2015 by Barack Moyal and Mati Shemoelof,
two Israeli artists and authors who live in Berlin.
