Join MAKE Literary Productions Board of Directors for an unforgettable afternoon as Lit & Luz Collaboration Cohort alums Carrie Olivia Adams, Edgar Garcia, and Julietta Cheung pair a poem with a Mezcal Mal Bien expression in a performance hosted by artist and fellow alum, Andy Slater. Enjoy gourmet fare from Estrella Negra’s Chef Otoniel Michel, an extremely exciting raffle, and a limited-edition broadside featuring the new poems.
Free street parking available on Fullerton Avenue until 4 p.m.

About Mezcal Mal Bien
All the expressions in the Mal Bien family have been selected for the sense of place that they express. In each sip, you’ll find the land where the plants were raised, the techniques that have become tradition in the village where it was distilled, and the experience of the mezcalero who produced it. Featured expressions originate in the states of Oaxaca, Guerrero, and Michoacán.

Estrella Negra is an eclectic eatery that offers Mexican gourmet street food with an updated flair. Chef/Owner Otoniel takes a creative modern twist to traditional family recipes. Our walls and tables are decorated with beautiful artwork from local artist that feature a colorful Day of the Dead motif. We are located 2 blocks west of the Kennedy expressway on Fullerton Avenue in the Bucktown/ Logan Square border.
