Ussu N'djai is an African musician of Senegalese origin, born in Guinea-Bissau. The musician started his professional career in Gambia and his success in Africa took him to Europe in 1994.

Ussu currently lives in Amsterdam where he and his band The New Balansa are known for his exciting mix of West African musical styles (m'balax, m'gumbeh, Afro -Mandingo, Carribean-reggae, salsa and funk). Ussu N'djai composed music in different West African languages such as Wolof, Mandingo, Creole, Fula, as well as French, English and Portuguese.
