PLANNING
- WHY (GOALS) - We cover how a podcast aligns with your business or organisational goals. How do you measure success?
- WHO (AUDIENCE) - Who is your target market? What are their media consumption habits? How do we understand what they want to hear?
- WHAT (CONTENT) - The intersection of the WHY and the WHO will determine the CONTENT of your podcast. We go through examples of successful podcasts and how they came up with the content.
EXECUTION
- HOW (STRUCTURE) - Now you've decided on your content, how will you determine the structure of the podcast? What's the ideal frequency and length? Is it episodic or serial? How do seasons work? Is it narrative-style, interview, monologue, re-purposed?
- WHERE (LOGISTICS & EQUIPMENT) - What equipment will you need for both in-office studio or remote recording?
- WHEN (SCHEDULE) - What do you need ticked-off before launch, including artwork, music, website landing pages, and podcasting hosting set-up.
