In 1996, Rudolph planted the largest pipe bomb in American history at the Atlanta Olympic Games. In 1997, he bombed an abortion clinic and a lesbian night club in Atlanta. The feds had dozens of suspects, but no real leads. Until Birmingham. Rudolph bombed the New Woman All Women clinic in Birmingham on January 29, 1998. He might have slipped away and continued to bomb and terrorize the South, but for the brave actions of UAB student, Jermaine Hughes. Hughes followed Rudolph and got a license plate number, setting off the largest manhunt in American history.
