Pocket Pop-Up by Pixie Panic Market and Pantheon Arts PDX

The Heart of Portland's Downtown calls out to you. The towers of concrete and stone racing upward, you seek shelter in a haven, a quiet village hidden amongst these marvels that also dance with steel and glass. That haven is the NW Portland Hostel, rated the best Hostel in America this year!

Several structures - houses and a colorful lobby, a secret garden, and a cafe that humbles it's patrons with it's community-built framework all rest on the corner of NW Glisan and 18th and are eager to welcome you and your love of hidden treasures in a big city!

Hidden treasures like those that will be found at the Pocket Pop-Up organized by Pixie Panic Market and Pantheon Arts PDX during Geek Week PDX 2025 on September 13th, 12-5pm! Believe in Wonder Publishing bolsters the Secret Garden of the Hostel with a World Building Workshop, and about a dozen vendors make a potent artist alley in the courtyard!

With these vendors, couple of events housed within the Secret Garden, board games on hand, tiny contests, and the on site cafe, we sincerely hope you'll come and discover a new place, a new creator, and perhaps even uncover some ways to build a world or two... The NW Portland Hostel awaits this adventure during Geek Week, and more throughout the year!

Info: When the Pop-Up first begins, the Secret Garden will be open for some exploration and leisure. After the first hour, we transition the space into free to join events!

Info: Brian Parker of Believe in Wonder Publishing shares a World Building Workshop for story mapping. This technique will help you to visualize the story before you, and know what lines to paint within!

Info: Indra Hunter of Pixie Panic Market organizes a bite-sized contest for those with a penchant for pocket-sized painting! This tiny contest is housed within the Secret Garden with a small prize for the talented individual who wins!

Info: Connect to fellow artists with the Pantheon Arts Nexus, a Commune for local artists in the area, we seek to envelope and send agency to those who wish to start projects in the Portland area. Meet the person you need, or a new friend to enact art with - we're here to help.
