Pocket Altar Making Workshop
Join Aether & Ancestors, Terra Soul Sanctuary, and Enchanted Earth Trading Post for an evening of creativity, connection, and hands-on making as we create our own textile pocket altars.
Pocket altars are small, portable spaces for holding the things that carry meaning for us—photographs, words, keepsakes, symbols, botanicals, charms, memories, prayers, or simply beautiful objects we feel drawn to.
During this workshop, you’ll begin with a pre-cut fabric altar foundation and make it entirely your own. Choose from a collection of fabrics, images, words, mirrors, beads, charms, shells, feathers, tassels, buttons, botanicals, decorative elements, and other materials to build a piece that is personal to you.
No sewing experience is needed.
You can choose to hand-stitch your altar using simple sewing techniques or create it completely without sewing using adhesive and heat-applied materials. Partially constructed altar foundations will also be available for anyone who would prefer to begin with a ready-to-embellish piece.

Optional: Bring a small photograph, printed image, piece of fabric, written word, or other flat personal item you would like to incorporate into your altar.
