Author Adam Dennis received his JD from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. His many professions have included attorney, sous-chef, and touring musician, all of which influenced his writing. Gary and His Little Friend Jerry is the second collaboration between Dennis and Illustrator Herb Leonhard, continuing the adventures of Gary the Gator in Gary and the Tooth Fairy. Dennis resides with wife and two children in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Rachel M. Marsh earned her MFA in creative writing for children from Simmons University in Boston. She lives in New Orleans, where she and her husband eat the world’s best food and renovate their almost-hundred-year-old house. Rougarou Magic is her debut novel.
Eric Cook, a native New Orleanian, is the executive chef and owner of two celebrated New Orleans restaurants, Gris-Gris and Saint John. Eric Cook is a combat veteran who served six years in the United States Marine Corps. With training from the John Folse Culinary Institute, he began his culinary career at Brennan's in the French Quarter where he studied under Chef Mike Roussel. Soon after, Cook joined the team at Commander's Palace as Sous Chef and Chef de Partie. Cook has also worked as a private chef, executive banquet chef, and research and development consultant for several national restaurants.Sam Hanna, a New Orleans-based food and beverage photographer, boasts a global portfolio spanning books, magazines, television, and packaging. His discerning eye has attracted a diverse clientele, including restaurants, hotels, caterers, retail food brands, agencies, and renowned chefs.
Alexandra Navarre Davis was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana and currently resides in New Orleans with her family. She received two undergraduate degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She practices employment law and is an adjunct professor of law at Tulane Law School. Alexandra has always had a love of literature and dreamed of writing children’s picture books. She is the author of Rise and Shine, It’s Mardi Gras Time! and Clyde the Giant Crawfish, also published by Pelican.
Shannon Kelley Atwater was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She moved to Louisiana in 2005 to attend Loyola University New Orleans where she graduated with a degree in Visual Arts. She fell in love with the city and her husband, they planted their roots and never left. She is the author and illustrator of "Alligators Don't Like Flowers" and "Goodnight Pothole" as well as the illustrator of "Rainbow Rodney." When Shannon's not drawing, painting, and writing she's chasing her three kids and dressing up as a larger than life flower with Krewe des Fleurs.
