We are excited to announce the launch of the Oregon and Southwest Washington Pro-Democracy Narrative Initiative. We invite you and your organization to participate in this effort to strengthen the narratives and messaging that support your work and help defend and strengthen democracy.

Thanks to the generosity of several Pacific Northwest foundations, we would like to invite you to an in-person Pro-Democracy Narrative workshop in Portland on July 16 from 10-12 PT.

This hands-on briefing and narrative application workshop includes key findings on the current narrative landscape, effective pro-democracy narratives, messages, values to evoke engagement, peer learning, and coaching from narrative experts.

The Pro-Democracy Narrative Playbook is a non-partisan, collaborative initiative made up of nonprofit organizations, associations, philanthropic partners, and local public sector leaders to advance effective narratives that build understanding of and support for democratic principles and actions. The Playbook is grounded in research conducted in 12 countries on five continents, including the United States, and provides a powerful evidence base of values, framing pillars, and tested messages that increase understanding and support for an inclusive and participatory democracy.
