PNM Event: Volunteer with Sutro Stewards Habitat Restoration

Come join SoSF in volunteering at Sutro Stewards Woodland Canyon Creek Restoration event. We will be doing habitat restoration activities, such as invasive species removal, to help restore Woodland Canyon Creek on Mount Sutro.

• Participants are limited for each event; please RSVP at https://www.sutrostewards.org/events before coming to volunteer.

• All tools and gear provided by Sutro Stewards for volunteer use are clean or sanitized before use.
• Hand sanitizer will be available for use throughout the program.

• You may bring your own gardening gloves. Sutro Stewards will also provide freshly laundered glove for use.
• Bring a water bottle and any snacks that you may like.
• Wear clothes that can get dirty! Please wear long pants to protect your legs while working and sturdy closed-toe shoes.

• We will meet at the parking lot of the Woods Lot located on Mount Sutro at 100 Medical Center Way, San Francisco, CA 94131.
• We will provide tools, gloves, orientation to the trail site, and instructions on the day's activities.

• Parking is available in the Woods Lot at the check in address. During hospital construction, access from Parnassus Way is often blocked; drive via Clarendon Ave to near the summit, turn west on Johnstone Drive, and right on Medical Center Way 1 block to the first turnout on your right.
• Via foot or bike, note the Edgewood Trail is closed indefinitely, but you can detour via the Farnsworth Trail at the north end of Edgewood Ave, or the stairs from Medical Center Way to Surge Lot. Both options continue up the driveway to our meeting place.
• Historic Trail from 17th and Stanyan is a good hiking and bicycling route from the east.
• It’s a steady, 0.4 mile climb to Medical Center Way and our meeting place.
