PNCA Design Lecture Series w/ Marshall Wang

The PNCA Design Lecture Series welcomes a broad range of creatives who are breaking expectations of what design can be and do in the world.

To kick off our Fall 2026 series, we're welcoming in Marshall Wang!

Marshall Wang Meixuan(b. 1999, Shenzhen) is a Chinese graphic designer and art director based in Brooklyn, New York. Her practice spans moving image, installation, publishing, interaction design, creative technology, and visual systems. Working across aesthetics, simulacra, networked media, and identity, she creates synthetic yet intimate experiences that examine post-digital culture, technological infrastructure, and the politics of imagery.

Marshall holds an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design and a BFA in Graphic Design from California Institute of the Arts. Her work has been exhibited or presented at Pioneer Works, Recess, Flowing Space, IIDRR Gallery, Boston Cyberarts Gallery, MIT Media Lab, CultureHub / LaMaMa, and the National Gallery of Denmark. She is the co-founder of Sequence Giftshop, an artist collective exploring gestures of care through independent publishing and object making.

Hosted by the BFA Graphic Design program at Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) since 2016, and co-founded with FISK, the PNCA Design Lecture Series welcomes in a diverse range of creative folks to explore the broad and vibrant potential of design. For more than 100 years, the Pacific Northwest College of Art has served as a dynamic creative center for emerging artists, designers, and creators. PNCA is part of Willamette University.
