Tea practitioners blend more than just flavours; they fuse innovative visions and ideas. During the upcoming tea festival “Tea Round 2026”, PMQ Creative Voice gathers a young generation of tea practitioners to share their journey into the world of tea. Led by sensory experience curator Alky Ma, the conversation invites Jeff Cheng, the 4th generation owner of Chinese Tea Gallery, and Mary Wong, founder of Bloom & Brew, to discuss their experiences mixing tradition and innovation. From exploring tea combinations to founding new brands, designing products and modern tasting experiences, experience how tea lovers channel their desire for promoting tea culture into creative endeavors.
Other than joining the conversation, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a tea tasting experience to understand simple tasting techniques.

關於主持及講者 About the Moderator & Speakers:
🗣 馬紹禮 Alky Ma(感官體驗設計者、茶、水、橄欖油品鑑師 Sensory experience curator & certified sommelier in tea, water & olive oil)
Alky Ma has worked in the tea industry for more than 10 years. From procuring single-origin teas to creating specialty tea blends, and from merchandising to advocacy, he possesses unique insights into global trade dynamics from leading a Hong Kong-based tea company serving Asia-Pacific and EU markets.
As a certified sommelier in tea, olive oil, and water, Alky extends his expertise to sensory experiences, hosting modernized tea ceremonies and interactive workshops worldwide. He blends product knowledge with artistic presentation to curate memorable, sense-awakening events.
As a member of IOON’s Council of Experts, he bridges tea, water, and olive oil through elevated tasting and cultural immersions, fostering multidisciplinary appreciation.
🗣 王婉琳 Mary Wong(Bloom & Brew 創辦人、評茶師 Founder of Bloom & Brew & Tea Taster)
Mary’s story with tea began in the everyday rhythm of Hong Kong—in comforting milk tea and shared pots during dim sum. A simple curiosity about the leaves in her cup grew into a profound journey of discovery.
That personal exploration of flavour deepened into a study of craft, culture, and connection. She walked plantation rows, learned from masterful teachers, and honed her skills through competition—each step layering knowledge with a deepening respect for the craft.
This path led to a pivotal choice: to leave her corporate career and follow tea wholeheartedly. Now, as both a dedicated instructor and the founder of Bloom & Brew, her work centres on building bridges—between tradition and the contemporary drinker, and between a solitary cup and the community it can nurture.
Her vision is to foster a space where tea is not an elite art, but a relatable and enriching part of life. It is about savouring the flavour, truly, but equally about listening to the story it tells. While her role is to guide, she remains, first and foremost, a fellow traveller on the journey.
🗣 鄭銘杰 Jeff Cheng(華茶館營運總監 Chief Operating Officer of Chinese Tea Gallery)
Jeff is the fourth generation owner of Fook Wah Tea Company Limited, now rebranded as Chinese Tea Gallery. Chinese Tea Gallery focuses on the wholesale side of the F&B industry, serving clients ranging from dai pai dongs to dim sum restaurants, hotels, clubhouses, and airlines. After graduation, Jeff first started his career in graphic design, but felt a strong obligation to support the family business. What began as his commitment to help has grown into a passion for tea and its potential within the industry.
