Ever wonder what it's really like to protect and serve? Here's your chance to go behind the badge!
The Plymouth Township Police Department is proud to invite residents to our Fall 2025 Citizen Police Academy. This FREE, 8-week program is designed to give you an inside look at the operations, challenges and technology that define modern policing in our community. This is a hands-on, interactive experience where you'll learn directly from the officers and professionals who keep Plymouth Township safe.
What You'll Experience:
🔹 Behind the Scenes: See our Dispatch Center, learn about Patrol Tactics & Equipment, and understand our national Accreditation process.
🔹 Investigation Deep Dives: From Traffic Enforcement and Accident Investigation to processing a Crime Scene and Criminal Investigations.
🔹 The Justice System: Follow a case from arrest to court. Learn about Court Operations, Prosecutions, and get a Tour of the court facilities.
🔹 Specialized Units: Hear from our officers assigned to a DEA Task Force and the Homeland Security Task Force.
🔹 Critical Training: Discussions on Use of Force, Legal Precedent, and Decision Making.
🔹 Interactive Simulator: Test your skills and judgment in our Firearm Simulator.
🔹 Special Operations: Our final sessions will feature a look at our SWAT team and other special operations!
🔹 Graduation: Celebrate your accomplishment with a formal graduation ceremony.
This is a unique opportunity for our residents to ask questions, build relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of your police department. Space is limited and an application is required.
