Venues like The Warehouse, where DJ Frankie Knuckles pioneered house music, provided safe spaces for marginalized groups to express themselves freely. These gatherings fostered inclusivity and solidarity, offering protection and a sense of belonging to individuals often excluded from mainstream society.
