Have you thought about braving your first cold plunge, but are lacking the motivation to do so? Interested in some of our other therapies but haven't found the time? Maybe, you just want to support a remarkable young girl in our community that's in an unimaginable cancer fight. September 6th is the day to come see us at Ascend. Join us on Saturday, 9/6 as we aim to raise money for Olivia Perrotto, a 15-year old Williamsport native who was diagnosed with undifferentiated pediatric sarcoma over four years ago. She has had a back-and-forth battle and recently got bad news on a PET scan, showing the cancer had returned and spread to 13+ different spots. The trouble with cancers that have unknown cause is that there are usually large question marks surrounding proper treatment. Liv has qualified for an experimental clinical trial in Seattle and this fall, her family will be uprooted and displaced for 4-6 weeks as they pursue this hopeful T-cell treatment.
Liv is a dear friend of Ascend. Her insight is wise beyond her years; she is quietly thoughtful and has a contagious smile. She has a passion for anime, movies, and all things Space. And while it's not confirmed, I think she would have a passion for you doing your first cold plunge in her honor.
All proceeds (from ALL therapies) on this day will go towards the Perrotto Family's travel, lodging, and food expenses incurred from their time spent in Seattle.
