Hands-on Pruning Workshop. Learn how we properly prune the trees in the Arbo grove, with a focus on tree shape, air flow and visitor pathways. Includes tutorial on rooting your cuttings from the workshop, pruning tools and the importance of a tree's growth habit. Cuttings from the pruned trees are given to workshop attendees to practice callousing and rooting at home. Please note that the grove has dirt paths, so wear appropriate shoes plus bring a hat, gloves and beverage.
3+ hour workshop. Workshop starts at 10a, so arrive by 9a for tram rides to and from the Grove or you can walk up.
