Join us for the 6th annual PLUGS Summit, where a diverse group of stakeholders gather to learn practical tools for laboratory stewardship program development and insurance alignment that will apply to hospitals, health systems, reference labs, insurance payers, and patients.

Patient-Centered Laboratory Stewardship: Expanding Access to Testing

This forum will discuss innovations to improve access to laboratory testing, including mobile collections, home collections, and result portals. A limited number of add-on registrations are available to attend.

Additional Details:Health and Safety Information for COVID-19 (8/6/21):

The health and safety of our participants is of the utmost importance and we appreciate the collaboration of our attendees. We will meet or exceed CDC, City, State, and Federal guidelines to plan a safe event. We continue to monitor evolving information and guidance and will update these details as necessary. These details were last revised August 6, 2021.

We will require that all attendees be fully vaccinated (≥2 weeks since final COVID-19 vaccination dose) OR have tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of entry by PCR-based testing (antigen testing will not be accepted).


Proof of vaccination (photo of CDC vaccination card is acceptable) OR proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR-based test within 72 hours of entry each day (October 11 and 12) will be required for admittance. For COVID-19 test results to be eligible, the sample collection must have occurred within 72 hours of entry to the Summit to be accepted. Testing may be performed pre- or post-travel to Seattle.


Universal masking of all attendees, regardless of vaccination status and/or COVID-19 testing results, will also be required.

Availability of PCR-based COVID-19 testing differs by location. Check with local department of health or other agencies for options.

The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CME:

The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 10.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CEU:

The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) has authorized University of Washington School of Medicine, PLUGS, and Seattle Children's Department of Laboratories  to offer up to 1.05 CEUs or 10.50 Category 1 contact hours for the activity PLUGS Summit 2021: Clinical Laboratory Stewardship: Tips, tricks, and tools to benefit patients, labs and payers. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) will accept CEUs earned at this program for the purposes of genetic counselor certification and recertification.

PLUGS will collect and share limited information from individual attendees with other registrants of the conference to promote networking and collaboration.
