PLUG & PLAY - Bleephaus & The Music Works - V2.0, October 2024Plug and Play is a new open access session at The Music Works in collaboration with BLEEPHAUS exploring new and emerging ways to make music and visuals with technology.
Once a month, The Music Works will open its doors to creatives, hackers, musicians, performers, technologists, programmers and curious minds to explore sound, music, noise and art in a supportive and friendly environment.
October's programme:
6pm - Meet & Bleep
Join us for a hands-on jam session with electronic instruments - use ours or bring your own
6.20pm - Show & Tell
A demonstration of working practices by an electronic performing artist
This month, Charlie Baxter of KAIJU BLUE on performing live mashups onstage and manipulating audio playback with Ableton Live & controllers
7pm - Tea & Coffee
A break & chance to chat to other musicians & hackers
7.15pm - Make & Build
A discussion on building your own devices
Guest speaker TBC
7.45pm - Sine Out
A final jam session & discussion on what you'd like to see next time
8pm - close
Plug and Play will run once a month at the inclusive music Hub in the centre of Gloucester. We want the evenings to be welcoming, inclusive, informative, genre-wide and focused on having fun above all else!
Join us for our next event from 6 - 8pm on Tuesday 1st October 2024. Open to all, those under 16 should be accompanied by an adult please.
