Do you need ideas and activities to introduce young children to the outdoors? PLT’s Trees & Me activity guide contains hundreds of ideas for fun, easy-to-do, hands-on experiences to connect young children to nature, with a focus on trees and forests. Through both outdoor and indoor activities, children explore nature through their senses, experience trees throughout all four seasons, and connect with their community.
Participants will be trained in and receive the Trees & Me activity guide. Educators will participate in several indoor and outdoor activities from the guide, learn about the PLT program, get access to local and online resources, and develop a lesson plan to use with their students.
This workshop is approved for 3 hours of SC Endeavors renewal credits for early childhood professionals if needed.
