PLR Vancouver Presents Soobax: An Introduction to Movement

Sobaax is a free movement program for new immigrant women. Over 4 to 6 weeks, we will meet every Saturday at 12:30 PM, starting April 5th to learn movement basics—like stretching, walking, dance, and breathwork—in a fun and supportive environment.

Who is it for:
This program is for all new immigrant women who want to feel stronger, move with confidence, and meet others in the community. No experience is needed, and you don’t have to be an athlete!

Where:
Sun Wah Center (268 Keefer Street, unit 212, Vancouver, BC, V6A 1X5)

When:
Starts April 5th, 2025.

Sessions:

4-to-6, one hour sessions. Each week will have a different movement focus.

What's included :

• Weekly movement sessions (indoor & outdoor),
• Free entry into PLR Trail Clinic in May,
• Gear (if sizes are available) &
• A welcoming, diverse community.

Project Love Run (PLR) is a women-only run collective that meets monthly, holding space for self-identifying women to “run”* and have heart-centered conversations that draws awareness to how running culture and systems of oppression intersect.

* In general, at PLR, when we talk about running, we like to use quotation marks to reflect all the different ways our community wishes to show up like walking, jogging, hiking or slow running.
