Join us for our fifth screening, Barbara Kopple's HARLAN COUNTY, USA! This film - which won Best Documentary at the 1976 Oscars - follows the Brookside coal miner's strike in Harlan County, Kentucky as workers & their wives fight for their livelihoods with humor and tenacity, battling the greed and violence of big energy companies.
This event will be held at Miski Cafe, 1209 Nostrand Avenue, at 2pm on Sunday, July 26th! The cafe will be open and the full menu for food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The screening is free to attend but RSVP is required as seating is limited!
