Heritage Square in Oxnard, CA, holds a captivating history. In 1985 the idea to preserve the city's historical and architectural heritage took root: to showcase the unique charm and character of turn-of-the-century Oxnard, and after years of dedication and hard work, the square officially opened its doors to the public in 1991. Three of it’s 15+ structures are on the list of historic sites for Ventura County so we will have plenty of painting sites to choose from and restrooms are available. Come early and enjoy coffee and nibbles at Heritage Coffee! Gary Blum, descendant of the Petit family, will be there to greet us. The Petit house was his family’s historic home, the most lavish Victorian on the property. He oversaw it being moved and painstakingly renovated it.
