Friday, May 15th, 2026 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Blue Moose Art Gallery and
Saturday May 16th, 2026 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at a location decided between students and instructor.
With 30+ years of professional and award winning experience, DeWain shows how to paint confidently and expressively in a direct and colorful painting style. DeWain will provide a painting demonstration and provide design and picture making insights to simplify the oil or acrylic painting process. This session is plein air and will be determined with the instructor and student together.
On Friday night, Dewain will discuss/demonstrate the nuances of plein air painting, in preparation for your painting session on Saturday.
Once you set up your own painting supplies to begin your on-location painting. DeWain will paint by your side and will offer helpful ideas as you paint and answer any questions that pop up. This one-on-one private instruction is open to all levels of experience. Together you will set goals for your time together. Instruction is 2-2.5 hours per session.
