About this Event

Monarch Farms is partnering with Kaléa Sage Art to provide plein air painting workshops! This is a ticketed event with limited space per workshop. We will have 5 workshops starting November 30th through January.

ALL levels of artists are welcome. If you've ever wanted to experience what it's like to paint outdoors or are a seasoned artist seeking to hone your skills this is a great opportunity.

Monarch Farms is local to Dade City, Fl and features beautiful motifs and scenery to admire and paint! Carmen is our expert host, farmer, flower wizard, business owner, you get the idea. Check out the farm here: https://monarch-farms.com/

Kaléa Sage Art is a small business by artist Kaitlyn Muldez (me), a landscape oil painter. After spending many hours training both in plein air and in the studio, I am excited to help others capture the outdoors with a paintbrush. Find me here: https://kaleasageart.com/

This is a high overview class where we will learn how to approach a scene on the canvas utilizing the elements of art with helpful tools. Artists of all levels will have something to gain. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided.

Spaces are limited to 10 people per workshop event. Register through Evenbrite. Cost is $65. We will start at 3:30pm and end at 6pm.

***Easels, Canvases, Palletes, and Ruby Beholder are included!

*SEASONED / INTERMEDIATE ARTISTS:

If you are accustomed to a particular medium outside of oils (such as acrylics or watercolors) with experience painting outdoors and prefer to paint with those, by all means, bring em!

Supply list:

1. Water mixable oil paints. If you use standard oils with gamsol that’s alright too. Colors: at least have the primaries: red, yellow, and blue. Additional tubes will be available to borrow as well!

2. A few brushes: small, medium, and large, relative to the size of your painting surface.

3. Brush Washer: a cup to put your water in will do just fine.

4. Panel carrier: Not essential to this workshop, but helpful to keep your painting safe. I bought corrugated plastic from the hobby store and taped a box to place my panels in.

5. Shop towels or paper towels

6. Water Bottle

7. Pencil

Optional:

Hat

Sunblock
