This month's topic:
June Topic: What Does Pleasure Mean To You?
Many of us inherit beliefs about pleasure long before we ever have the opportunity to define it for ourselves. Family messages, religious teachings, cultural expectations, media portrayals, and personal experiences all influence what we believe we should want, what we're allowed to enjoy, and how much pleasure we deserve.
This month's Pleasure Chat invites participants to explore their unique relationship with pleasure and begin separating their authentic desires from the stories they've been handed.
Participants will leave with greater awareness of the influences shaping their pleasure, a deeper understanding of what pleasure means to them, and a simple practice for cultivating more pleasure in everyday life.
We will meet upstairs at the Plant Parlor at Exchange Coffee Co. in Simpsonville.
