PLAYlist Concert Series
The NCCU Office of Alumni Relations is proud to partner with PLAYlist, a free outdoor concert series presented by Durham Central Park and WNCU 90.7 FM.
Join us for an evening of live music, food trucks, local vendors, and fellowship on the following dates:
August 7
September 4
October 2 (Alumni Pre-Homecoming Kickoff)
Durham Central Park
501 Foster Street
Durham, NC
Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with DJ Travis Gales, followed by the featured band at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the music, there will be a mix of local food trucks and other vendors on site. There is open lawn seating, so please bring your blankets and lawn chairs. Picnics are welcome. Leashed pets are welcome. Concerts will take place rain or shine. Admission is free.

The Some of It All is an avant-garde trio with founding member Jeremy Beans Clemons, saxophonist Tinashe Blu and bassist Kevin Beardsley, pushing boundaries of sound and improvisation.

PLAYlist Presents Africa Unplugged September 4
Africa Unplugged is a Greensboro, NC-based multi-genre band formed in 2011 by djembe master Atiba Rorie. They blend traditional West African rhythms, drums, and melodic concepts with soulful blues, funk, and Caribbean influences to showcase the music of the African Diaspora.

Natural Wonder is a premier Stevie Wonder tribute band, active since 2012, that delivers an authentic, high-energy concert experience, featuring a full band and horn section. Led by Billboard-ranked artist and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Bello, the ensemble faithfully reproduces decades of Motown-era and 70s hits.
