Playdate & Create: Little Sculptors
This month, we’re stepping into shape, space, and texture. We will explore sculpture and 3D art by looking closely at shapes, textures, and all the different ways artists build in space. In the galleries, we’ll focus on the bright and bold work of "Come on Down, Oklahoma," by Lisa Hoke. In the classroom, your little sculptor will use your help transforming everyday ‘found objects’ into a masterpiece!
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
• Space is limited and advanced registration is required.
• Please register one spot per child (ages 2 through 4) who will participate in the program.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
• 9 am | Arrive and Settle
Begin your morning in our studio classrooms, where little ones can get comfortable and explore age-appropriate toys and activities. At the same time, grown-ups can enjoy a relaxing start to their day with coffee and conversation.
• 9:15 am | Gallery Adventure
Together, we’ll set out on a guided gallery adventure to explore this month’s theme. Using playful prompts, a story, and themed toys, we will spark curiosity, observation, and connection with works of art.
• 9:30 am | Art Activity
Back in the classroom, with your help, your little artists will create their own themed artwork using materials and techniques designed for early learners. This hands-on activity nurtures fine motor skills, creativity, and imagination.
• 10:30 am | All done!
Our morning wraps up, and families can take home their children’s creations—along with new memories and inspiration for more artful play.
