Join us for From Play to Performance: Red Nose Clown 2 Day Intensive with Sasha Kostyrko!WHEN: Saturday, June 6th and Saturday, June 13th, both days from 10 AM - 5 PM. Class showcase on 6/13 at 8 PM (7:30 PM call time). Class will break from 1-2 PM both days.
WHERE: The Eagle Theater - 921 Front Street, Sacramento
ABOUT: Explore the joyful world of the red nose clown, a small mask with big power for honesty, curiosity, and connection. Over two days, we’ll discover our uniqueness through improvisation and clowning exercises that help you stay present, follow your impulses, and enjoy the beauty of mistakes. Work together with a supportive ensemble to find your inner child and take creative risks. The workshop ends with a short performance for an audience on Day Two. No experience needed! Just bring yourself, your curiosity, playfulness, and a willingness (or honest trepidation) to be seen.

Class schedule:
DAY 1: June 6th
10 AM – 1 PM: Part 1
1 PM – 2 PM: Lunch
2 PM – 5 PM: Part 2
There will be 5 minute breaks every hour.
DAY 2: June 13th
10 AM – 1 PM: Part 3
1 PM – 2 PM: Lunch
2 PM – 5 PM: Part 4
There will be 5 minute breaks every hour.
We are happy to accommodate any requests to sit or take additional breaks for those who need them. You are encouraged to take care of yourself and your body’s needs! We will also have water and sensory gear available for those who need it!
LUNCH:
Students are welcome and encouraged to bring snacks and water and should bring their own lunches. Students may make their own lunch plans or join us for a group lunch at Frankie's Pizza (a 5 minute walk).
Food & Drink
To help care for this historic space, we kindly ask that guests avoid spillable, sticky, or messy foods and drinks. This helps preserve the theater for future audiences and performers

Because the Eagle Theater is a historic building, it has some limitations:
The audience area is wheelchair accessible, including ramped seating
The stage and dressing rooms are NOT wheelchair accessible
ADA-accessible restrooms are located across the street, not inside the theater
If you need accommodations, please reach out as early as possible. We are committed to inclusion and will work together to find solutions.
Seats will be provided both onstage and off, and we are happy to accommodate any requests to sit or take additional breaks for those who need them. We also provide sensory gear and fidget toys.

Tuition is nonrefundable. You must be at least 18 to register.
