Workshop Title: Play. Think. Win.

Date: October 31, 2026

Time: 3:00 PM - 05:00 PM

Presented by: Peeyush Sekhsaria

Location:- Travancore Palace

About the Workshop

Games are a powerful tool for communicating conservation concepts to both children and adults. Increasingly, conservation organisations are using games to make ecological ideas and environmental challenges more engaging, accessible, and memorable. Games encourage participation, spark curiosity, foster collaboration, and create meaningful learning experiences.

Play. Think. Win. offers participants a glimpse into the role of games in conservation education and communication. The workshop introduces play-based learning and explores its potential for creating impactful learning experiences online, offline, and in the field—from building a connection with nature to communicating research, supporting conflict resolution, and strengthening community engagement.

The workshop is divided into three segments. Participants will first experience a range of innovative conservation and nature-based games developed by organisations and educators. The second segment focuses on understanding the basic principles of game design. In the final segment, participants will work in small groups to create and present their own game concepts based on conservation and nature themes.

And yes, we will play plenty of games along the way!
